Dr. Jamie Canova
(PT, DPT, MTC, OCS)
Jamie Canova is a 2007 graduate of Louisiana College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She graduated in December 2009 from University of St. Augustine with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jamie is manual therapy certified (MTC) which she received from University of St. Augustine in February 2012. In 2014, Jamie received Orthopedic Certification Specialization (OCS) through the board of Physical Therapy. Jamie is from Pineville, La where following PT school, she returned to work in an outpatient orthopedic based physical therapy clinic for two and a half years. She was a travel therapist for a year working in SNF and outpatient settings. She worked for 6 years in Gonzales, La treating orthopedic injuries before coming to River Parish Physical Therapy & Wellness. She works prn at an inpatient rehab setting which has helped her improve her one on one skills while treating her patients.
When Jamie is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, as she is a wife and the mother of 3 beautiful girls.
